The breakfast here, with delicious croissants and fresh fruit, was enjoyable.

The total stay was really really nice during next visit. Location: the hotel was just next door to the nearby restaurants, souq and the new city. I ate in the attached restaurant nearby. Greatly enjoyed my stay: D

This is located in Old Muscat, really far from civilization, and the cost of travelling to the city is almost the cost of the hotel stay. Extremely dull staff, eager to get you out as soon as your check in period is over, very rude. This hotel is located in a pretty bad part of town, in fact getting taxis to take you there is almost impossible unless you know someone!
Noisy nightclub at the ground floor that reverberates the sound through the entire hotel. All staff members, except the cleaning and service crew are very rude. Located in a bad part of town, cannot even go around for a walk, cause the area barely has lights around it!

The hotel is excellent budget base to explore the older part of the city. It has all the nessecity for the stay and the whole group believe is beyond the 2 stars rating.
The lift could be dangerous to small child.

The room was very large and clean. The hotel is ideally located being at walking distance from the mutrah souk and corniche. The staff at the reception and at the breakfast was very friendly. There were also live band at the local hotel bar. Overall very satisfied of our stay as family.
The air conditioning noise in one room was the only drawback (was efficient for cooling though) as well as the breakfast room which is missing daylight.Overall these two minor points did not prevent us from having a pleasant stay.

First, let me say, this is a fairly basic hotel. It is more like a pension. It is good for a budget traveler who wants a reasonable degree of comfort. It is not in any way luxurious. And unlike it luxury counterparts, it is not cold and unfriendly or rife with toadying sevice people. It is run with genuine kindness, helpfulness and friendliness. It is a microcosm of Oman, a country with some of the sweetest people I've ever encountered. It's also in the most authentic-feeling part of the city. Please keep in mind, there are mountains separating sections of the city, so if you don't have a car, you will pay for taxis to almost every other neighborhood. But Mutrah is near the souq and the corniche. Once again - amazing people.
I did not like that I couldn't stay there forever.
